Women’s health
Classical Chinese gynaecology is organised around menstruation, discharge, pregnancy and birth. Fourteen common concerns are sorted here by life stage, each with the Chinese medicine view, the medical view and what to bring.
女子以七為紀
Seven-year cycles in a woman’s life
The Huangdi Neijing describes a woman’s life in seven-year stages, from first period to menopause. Chinese gynaecology still reads the body’s needs at each age through this passage.
