Cosmetic acupuncture

Facial acupuncture

Facial care from the inside out. Facial acupuncture and gua sha with constitutional care, focused on complexion and relaxation.

When people come in

  • A dull, tired complexion
  • Puffiness or facial tension
  • Wanting a non-invasive routine

The Chinese medicine view

TCM reads the complexion as a mirror of qi and blood, and the face is dense with channels. Care combines constitutional work with local points.

Common patterns

Qi and blood deficiency

Pale, lacklustre

Spleen deficiency with damp

Puffiness, eye bags

Liver constraint with stasis

Dull tone, pigmentation

Patterns are identified by a practitioner through all four examinations. They are here to explain the thinking, not for self-diagnosis.

The medical view

Facial acupuncture is supportive care and results vary; it does not replace medical aesthetic or dermatology treatment. Mention bleeding conditions, blood thinners or inflamed skin first.

What the consultation covers

Constitution, sleep and diet come first, then points are chosen for the face, with facial gua sha and massage.

Therapies that may be discussed: Acupuncture, Gua sha

  • Skin sensitivity and medication
  • Come without make-up if you can
