Edema Test & Heavy Legs Point

Symptoms can include: - heaviness in the limbs - abdominal bloating - poor appetite - fatigue - feeling of dampness in the body Edema is seen as a result of qi deficiency, dampness accumulation, or poor spleen function failing to transport fluids. If it becomes serious, it can indicate heart failure, kidney disease, or liver problems. 👆🏻How to Test for Pitting Edema • Press firmly on your foot or lower leg for 5 seconds • Release and observe the area • If an indentation remains, you may have pitting edema. 👆🏻Grades of Pitting Edema: • Grade 1: Mild, 2mm depression, disappears rapidly. • Grade 2: Moderate, 4mm depression, disappears in 10-15 seconds. • Grade 3: Severe, 6mm depression, lasts more than a minute. • Grade 4: Very severe, 8mm depression, lasts more than 2 minutes. 🦵🏻SP 40 Acupoint · Location: Halfway between the knee and ankle, about two finger widths from the outer edge of the tibia.· Function: Helps remove dampness, reduce swelling, and improve digestion. ✨Remember: Consult a registered Chinese medicine practitioner if you experience severe or persistent swelling.
