Why Does Period Blood Turn Brown?
In Chinese Medicine,
it often means circulation is sluggish, which can happen with certain body types:
1. Liver Qi Stagnation (肝氣鬱結)
– Caused by stress, emotional tension, or lack of movement.
Over time, it may slow circulation, leading to Qi and Blood Stagnation .
2. Cold Uterus (宮寒) –
If you often feel cold, have a pale complexion, weak digestion, or crave warmth,
your blood circulation may be sluggish, leading to brown blood.
3. Blood Deficiency (血虛) –
Common in people who feel tired, dizzy, or have pale lips.
This can cause light or irregular periods.
🚨 Signs of Qi & Blood Stagnation

* Headaches, especially tension headaches
* Dark red or brown period blood with clots
